A team with Rooney, Van Persie, DiMaria, Falcao, two World Cup finalists , a £27m left back & £37m Juan Mata on the bench is NOT the shittest Man U side in 'decades'.
Terribly unbalanced & uneven but still contains some major talent.
That said we missed an opportunity

Harsh to come away empty handed Sakho is proving to be a great signing plus his attitude is spot on.

They were there for the taking and we blew it. Period.

___________

Exactly how I called it. Without the 'period' (American and cunty)
We've played a lot worse at OT but that was the shittiest Manc side I've seen in decades. And there were only 10 of them. We just weren't ruthless enough. A missed opportunity by fatso yet again.

how come winston Reid wasn't captain today. Presume it was based around refusal to commit to club.”

Probably. dg

Any news about Noble?

Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-1 FT
Both Manu's goals though well taken came from defensive blunders which are not acceptable at this level

That said, we played well considering that the heart of our midfield, in the way of Noble & Kayoute, was missing

We deserved at least a draw

They were there for the taking and we blew it. Period. Still, beat QPR and Burnley and we will be sitting pretty.

It was a good game but a small gripe for me is that Carlton Cole was a bad choice to come on. I understand BFS's logic to pressure their young CB when they went down to 10 men but CFC was embarrassingly slow.

Hopefully BFS won't repeat the error again because it seemed we started resorting to long balls aimed at Carlton rather than having an extra creative goal scoring player like Zarate coming on.

Clearly Zarate was not BFS's choice of player....

I was hoping to get three points yesterday, thought we might get a draw but we got nothing. But pleasing thing is that we took the game to them at their place. Something we haven't done before under Sam.
Performances are improving and we only lost 2 1 yesterday. No shame in that.

No matter how poor Man Utd have been in recent times they are still Man Utd and it is still Old Trafford and I am proud of the team and BFS for putting then under pressure for so long and making it very uncomfortable for them.

In recent years BFS would go to Old Trafford to play for a 0-0 at best and at worse keep the score line down to a respectable level. The way he us being forced to play and the players that are being bought for him is doing him a massive favour and he might well be learning some new tricks for his new job next term.

'superb performance'?

Not being capable of scoring against 10 men (again) and 'superb performance' is most definitely a contradiction. Do you actually understand that the idea of football is to score goals?

Superb performance. After watching the two new lads up top for a couple weeks it's shocking to see how bad carlton is. Our midfield players have been firing balls up to sakho and Valencia who have been controlling them instantly, turning and running at goal. The first one played into Cole yesterday hit his chest, bounced twenty yards away and set up Di Maria perfectly for the counter.

First 20. Minutes yeh, after that no chance

In theory bringing on a Cole type player was a way of mixing it up and doing something different. Zarate would have been more of a like for like change. Just a problem that Cole is so hopeless.

Missing both Kouyate and Noble at the same time and Song getting booked in the first minute turned out to be too much for our improving but still limited (depth) squad to deal with.

Thought we played well with the usual individual mistakes costing us. I thought Nolans head was offside but his body level.
Whats Zarate done? should have come on instead of Cole.
Jenkinson deserves to start did very well.

Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-1 FT
Well what I take from today is that we've got a striker who can poke home a chance as well as do something amazing. We could probably recoup the money spent on him and Valencia the way the market is now. Yes, we lost to those cunts but we are in an excellent position to challenge for 8th place or above.
